Selling Tangible Products vs. Intangible Products — Comes down to beliefs

I have been selling a lot of Sumato Coffee lately. It is tangible. You can touch, see, smell and taste the coffee.

I have also been selling my services for consulting in HR, Recruiting, Culture and Talent. You can’t touch, taste, smell or taste consulting services.

What is most important, regardless of the sell is your beliefs. Do you believe in the software solution you are selling? Do you believe in the service you are selling? Do you believe that your product (tangible or intangible) can help the person you are selling to?

There is no trickery needed or fancy suits. Just your beliefs in what you can do and what your product can deliver to the other person. If you are selling smoked turkey legs, believe in them.

People will buy when they are ready to buy. Believe in your product and sell it. I met with a robot company the other day. They have a robot that can help industries be a safer place. They believe in their tangible product and the services that come with it. Yes, their product is innovative with IoT capabilities and the people behind the product believe in it. Their customers will buy it when they are ready.

Whether it is coffee, robots, consulting services. Believe in it. If you do not believe in your products, nobody else should either…
